GFB participated in the XXIII National Congress Italian Association of Myology held from 8 to 10 June in Padua.
GFB presented a poster entitled 'Observational study: the quality of life in patients with alpha-sarcoglycan, beta-sarcoglycan and gamma-sarcoglycan gene mutation'. On Saturday 10 June, GFB and its representatives participated in the Session: Round Table - Meeting With Patients Associations with other patient associations.
At the end of the Round Table of Associations taking part in the XXIII AIM Congress, GFB awarded a prize in the Best Poster section to the young researcher Alberto Benetollo (University of Padua, research team of Dr. Dorianna Sandonà) for his research entitled: "A potential treatment for sarcoglycanopathy: pharmacological profile of X17 CFTR corrector and its efficacy with a new regiment of administration." ('A potential treatment for sarcoglycanopathy: pharmacological profile of C17 CFTR corrector and its efficacy with a new regimen of administration').
